Hands-Free Expense Tracking: Five Ways to Record Without Opening an App
Voice, Siri, Apple Watch, the Action Button and a home-screen widget — because the reason people quit is that it takes too long.

Worth setting up if you shop with your hands full or pay with the watch anyway — the recording happens in the same motion as the payment.
One tap from the home screen
The home-screen widget has a microphone and a camera button. One tap goes straight into recording or straight into the camera for a receipt, skipping the app entirely.
While a recording is running, the Live Activity keeps it visible in the Dynamic Island, so you can see it is listening without going back into the app.
Or photograph the receipt
When there is paper, point the camera at it. Penvo reads the merchant, the total and the currency off the receipt and fills the entry in, and keeps the image with the expense so you can look at the original later.
